WHAT ARE THE MAVEN AWARDS?

The Maven Awards was created in 2024 by Natalie Hamer, Founder of Maven Coworking - A Boutique Style Coworking Space for ambitious women in the heart of Winchester because of a disappointing lack of relevant award ceremonies in the local Winchester area that shine a true light on the inspirational and empowering female entrepreneurs, business women and leaders. The Maven Awards are an entertainment filled, high energy, red carpet style awards ceremony held at the The Nutshell Theatre, Winchester, from 6.30pm on Thursday 26th February.

HOW MANY AWARDS ARE THERE?

In 2024 we had 10 awards categories. In 2025 we’ll had 12 categories and in 2026 we continue with 12 categories. Please visit The Awards page to nominate!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO BE NOMINATED FOR AN AWARD?

These awards are to shine a light on Winchester’s Female Entrepreneurs and business women, of which there are many! Please note you don’t have to be a Maven Coworking Member to nominate or be nominated. In order to be eligible you must live and operate your business or service in Winchester and surrounding areas. Please click here to see the Map Boundaries. Fixed Premises must be located within these Boundaries and for Freelancer and all nominations without a fixed premises we ask that you do at least 80% of your business, work or inspirational achievements within these boundaries also.

HOW AND WHO CAN I NOMINATE?

You can nominate any outstanding female you know of who you feel deserves recognition and celebration. You can also nominate yourself - don’t be shy! You can enter yourself or another as a nomination in more than one award category too. If you are a Sponsor of The Maven Awards then you cannot be nominated or nominate yourself. Nominations open on Friday 22nd November. They close on Monday 5th January 2026.

WHAT IS THE NOMINATION PROCESS?

Our judging panel (Natalie Hamer and the Sponsors of the Awards) will review all nominations, shortlisting to 5 finalists per award. We may ask you to send more documentation to support your nomination so we can find out more about you. In order to be a finalist you need to be able to attend the awards and finalists are also still required to buy a ticket for the awards (£65pp). Ahead of the awards all finalists will be asked to be come into Maven.

I’M A FINALISTS OR HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR AN AWARD - DO I STILL NEED TO BUY A TICKET FOR THE AWARDS NIGHT?

Yes. As there is no entry fee for the event, as you’ll find with many awards we ask that all finalists buy a ticket. Tickets are just £65 which is great value for a night full of entertainment, uplifting female energy, lush food, lots of networking and an after party!

ARE MEN ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE AWARDS NIGHT?

Absolutely, we want to share the magic of The Maven Awards with everyone!
